John Boos Cutting Board

I really like this one, it's not too big and not too small, it's right in between the sizes I was looking for so it's 1/2 inch bigger than the one in B it's currently an inch and a half smaller, has enough room for contact, but I have to get it done and it's perfect for my countertop.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Almost Never

Not all of it should be "split ".

Perfect size and great surface for cutting and slicing. but why does it splinter if I NEVER submerge it in water and am very careful, just rinsing with mild soap shortly after rubbing? I also treated it with recommended products before use. I haven't had this board for so long.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

This board is so easy to use that cutting becomes a pleasure.

I love this cutting board. I used to work in the food prep industry so I know how important a good chopping board and knife are for proper chopping. Fritters cut paper-thin and evenly-cut vegetables that you just can't get on a common plastic jig. Also, it's aesthetic. Just brush it with lemon oil a few times a week and it's ready to go.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Negative Gift

John Bois Burnt Cutting Board

The cutting board arrived with a 1 inch burn mark on one side and neither side was sanded in good condition. Instead of a smooth cut surface, this board had a slightly raised texture. I was very disappointed as the other John Boos chopping boards we bought were in excellent condition. I think this was probably the 'second' and if so it should have been identified as such.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some issues

This cracker is fine.

I thought some of the reviews were over the top. John Boos is good, right? It shouldn't crack. It is likely that the reviewer did not follow the directions for drying after washing and conditioning the box. Well I did and I have cracks all over. I have many other boards that I take care of like gods that I've owned for years and I don't have these cracks. I would avoid this board and possibly this brand altogether. .

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Hard to say

i hate cooking i hate it

this thing changed my life! i hate cooking Hate it. But this little chopping board is just the right size and weight and looks really nice. I love how easy it is to clean and I wax it with natural wax to keep it in good condition. Many cutting boards are either tiny or too big for a short woman with a back injury to easily clean. I am very happy with this item and it looks like it will last a few years.

Pros
  • i hold my fists
Cons
  • sad packaging

Ashamed! good for cutting boards

Total disappointment and embarrassment! I bought this as a gift for a friend and told him it was a well known brand known for its quality. I had no idea it was turning to rubbish in less than 2 months! The board has completely split into 6 or 7 pieces of board in the same condition as before bonding. DO NOT buy this if you are looking for quality cutting boards that will last. The biggest regret is that I also bought one, which is also starting to splinter. Do yourself a favor, save your time…

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
