Awesome product! good for me

Love the quality, thickness, and the size I was able to get (I needed to cut off only a 1-inch strip to fit my needs). A bit pricey, I thought.

Pros
  • Easy Maintenance: Varnique counterops are not intented to be used as direct cutting surfaces (opt for the Oil Finish for direct cutting), and are virtually maintenance free. Impervious to most household chemicals, cleans with mild soap and water and does not require regular oiling
Cons
  • The installation process for this counter may require professional help, as it can be heavy and difficult to maneuver without proper tools or equipment

Mine was not good on my review.

Maybe I'm wrong but I was under the impression that these are supposed to be food grade quality wood blocks and cutting boards. For $100 I expected better. Mine came splintering, cracked and had a giant knot in the wood. The blocks in some cases have separation where I could fit my fingernail in. And the sharp edges on the corners were definitely a hazard, they weren't sanded down at all.

Pros
  • I like the fact that I don’t have to get a cutting board out.
Cons
  • The varnique finish can be prone to scratches and scuffs, making it difficult to maintain a polished appearance over time

Terrific look for my opinion

When ordering a table, especially a brand I was unaware of, my biggest concern was how the overall look of the grains together. The look was fantastic. I'm guessing the builders hand-select the pieces to go together, rather than being totally robotic. Their brand of lacquer is great as well. There were no dings on the visible five sides. There were some scuffs on the bottom side, but that's how any hand-made piece would be. Two minor, negative dings that I would give them a 4.5 star for. 1. I…

Pros
  • This is beautiful and almost perfect. A damaged edge but I need a 39" x 28".
Cons
  • The price point for this product is significantly higher than other kitchen counter options, making it an expensive investment for those on a budget

Beautiful wood . BUT . ( ultimately happy )

PWe purchased this to use as a table top. BeautifulHOWEVER . shipping took a long time .directly from the Boos company and they need to pack better. The first one arrived with 3 of the 4 corners damaged badly. I sent it back and got replacement. that one arrived with light damage to only 1 of the corners.Opting to keep this one because it is beautiful and the damage is on the underside and not noticeable. chances that if replacing, next one would possibly be worse damage and didn’t want to wait

Pros
  • Looks good and is solid. Using it as a counter on a single non-mounted cabinet. No food prep.
Cons
  • The 1.5" thickness of the counter may be too thin for some heavy-duty kitchen tasks, such as kneading dough, and could dent or warp under significant pressure
