does the trick for pipes, fittings and supplies

my fridge switch is in the basement which is handy if we ever need to turn off the water for the ice maker. There was no click, but when I pushed the line all the way in it found it locked in place and there were no leaks. I just installed a new fridge yesterday so hopefully the missing click won't haunt me anymore!

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • so far so good

Large water supply systems use them. They work

I bought one of these to shut off the water line on an old fridge that kept leaking due to a broken T-valve. Risking the risk of calling a plumber because the epoxy didn't work or something went wrong, I simply cut the old pipe in half and connected it to this one. Turned off immediately. Installed new plumbing to my reverse osmosis car/fridge and off to the races. They work.

Pros
  • handy
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Amazingly easy to install with no leaks!

I had to install a shut off valve on the water supply from the water filtration system to our refrigerator. There was literally 3 inches of pipe from the T-junction to where the line ran under the house. Cut the fishing line with a knife, insert each end into this device and they'll kick in instantly. No leaks, no fancy tools. Just unbelievable! I don't know how it works but no more leaks and no more awkward trips to the basement under the house to turn off the water to fix the fridge. Highly…

Dead easy! with rough plumbing

My fridge is being relocated and the copper water pipes didn't have a shut off valve meaning the water in the house would have to be shut off which is not feasible. I bought a pipe cutter, that little device, and prayed that everything would be fine. The first ending came with an audible "pop". The other end didn't originally do the same. I had a feeling something was wrong, so I grabbed both ends and connected them at the same time. The second half now made a "pop" sound and made for a good…

Simple and 1,2,3 - Pipes, Fittings and Accessories

My fridge started leaking from the ice maker line. I wanted to shut off the water supply to the ice maker, but it was hooked up directly to the cold line under the sink. So to turn off the water supply to the ice maker, I would have to turn off the cold water supply to my kitchen sink. I bought this so I can just turn off the water supply to the ice maker. It came in, I cut the 1/4 inch pipe with a knife, pushed in one end, then the other, and you're done. It literally took less than a minute…

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Concise Instructions

I keep replacing the ones I bought from big stores that leak constantly and have never had a problem. Warning, all the big stores I checked sell the same junk brands that are being phased out. I've had them leak out of the packaging before, but they usually start leaking after a few uses and need to be replaced. I found these last year and started using them instead and have never had a leak problem. I use them on my water filters, coffee makers etc so you can turn off the water to service them

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
