Bad design but it can cut itself.

The blade sits on a pivoting system that allows it to rotate freely even after it has been set to the desired depth. It can cut but you have to rotate the blade properly, if you don't it will cut you in a spiral. The underside of the blade is paddleable and shouldn't be, so it will keep turning towards you.

Eh so-so, sometimes it works

Not stable. Sometimes I get a spiral, sometimes the knife comes out of the socket. But sometimes it works fine. While I have no doubt some of these could be "pilot error", I usually use my razor blade. I use it for 1/0 gauge 4 power wire, it seems too small. I have mileage 2/0, I've used it a few times and it seems to work a little better.

  • Practical thing

  • No performance

Low quality scrap works best for wire stripper

This wire stripper is described as inferior by several other users. There was a time when "Made in Germany" meant something. The two halves of the yellow handle had a significant gap between them, and the cutting tip did not remain fixed in one position during the cable jacket cutting process. What a disappointment! Avoid this product at all costs. I'll probably take the red one from China, it's probably better made.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I don't like this thing.

Cheap, works, tends to twist insulation as blade is designed to rotate rather than stay properly aligned. The reason is stinginess; There MUST be a tab or something to keep the blade straight, but it appears to be attached directly to the adjuster. Anyway, the price is nice, but the function is very disappointing. On the other hand, some people like it; I'm sure I can give it away instead of throwing it away. It's on my bench and I'm stripping the wires again with a razor blade. $20 with no…

Even after watching all the youtube related to it, it's just rubbish.

I bought this on the advice of a YouTuber who only praised it. I watched a few other videos on how to use it properly but just couldn't get the hang of it and went back to the old fashioned way of just using a razor, or in the case of a 2/0 wiring. , the pliers themselves. I understand the function of the rotating blade for a horizontal cut, but have found that the lack of a fixed blade also reduces the accuracy of the initial vertical cut. There are times when you can't twist the wire and need

MUST for battery wiring

I have used this tool over and over to strip 2, 4 and 8 AWG wire. Easy to use once you get the hang of it. Practice sticking, turning the dial on the base until the blade reaches the desired depth of insulation. I held this in front of the cut wire cross-section so I could adjust the length of the exposed blade to the depth of insulation I could see holding it in front of me. If I were too scared to cut the insulation deep, I'd start with these wire strippers and finish with a pair of wire…

Overpriced, settings crude, guide useless

Not worth the money, not worth the use. I waited too long to try it so I couldn't get a refund. A very popular YouTuber recommended this article, so I figured I might as well go. This stripper is cheaply made. The focusing screen seems to break when dropped. One problem with this tool is that the blade rotates as you adjust the height. The blade can end with the flat side against the cable jacket. This doesn't allow for precise height adjustment, making this tool less than ideal for stripping…
