They no longer sell it in the local store. So I had to start buying it from Revain. I like it because it's not heavily flavored but still gets the job done. Not sticky. Not only do we use it in the litter box, we also use it in the garage to soak up spills.

Excellent material. In the house there is practically no smell of garbage, unless one of the cats has left. We have 2 boxes and only used one for comparison. The other box stinks and the one with Johnny Cat has little to no smell. I also noticed that the cats are now avoiding the other box.

I only have one cat, I don't know how it will be with more than one, but I have to say that I like this litter a lot. It soaks up urine and poo smells really nice and the biggest plus is the stones are too big to get stuck between my furry little ones toes. So it doesn't track the whole apartment or our beds. The downside is that it doesn't clump. But if you can get through this, then you're good.

I've used other fillers but they didn't control odor and dust any better than good old Johnny Cat. Also, other brands will clog the toilet if another sloth in the house decides to throw the mess down the toilet instead of bagging it up and throwing it out. I've even tried a fancier brand of clay litter but my cats hated it because it was brown. I'll just stick with it from now on.

I raise kittens most of the year and the shelter doesn't like it when we use clumping litter. I have tried so many different brands but when 4-6 kittens are using the litter boxes there is always a horrible urine smell no matter how much I change or pick up. No longer! This is by far the best non-clumping litter I have ever used. I would give it 5 stars but it's definitely dusty and makes a mess when I fill it up. My vet said it was healthier for cats and he got the award. Handles odors very well (doesn't smell if you follow directions), larger particles won't stick to cat's paws, cats love it, inexpensive. Has a light fresh scent, a little dusty initially when poured into the litter box (hold your breath) Outright wins Tidy Cats (small, brown particles, poor odor control, crooked dust, cat didn't like it) and Fresh Step ( expensive, doesn't smell good) .
