Works better than expected. I saw one at the grocery store in the mall but was hesitant because of the price. Followed the instructions on the picture and worked great the first time! I bought one for my 81 year old dad - he loves it because he no longer has the dirty chores or cleaning to eat an avocado in the morning.

I greatly improved the performance of the tool by simply clipping the cutting blades and leaving a smooth scraper to get the whole half. The slices never came out like the photo in the description. Now this is the perfect tool. Just make sure your avocado is big enough and the stone remover grabs and removes it with a gentle twist. Hooray!

I don't know why I wasted so many years of my avocado love without this product. It works INCREDIBLY. However, I'd say it's great for someone who eats avocados a lot like me, but probably won't need it for people who only eat them occasionally. This basically speeds up the process, but works not much different than using a spoon and knife to remove the stone and slice the avocado. Just a more efficient method. I bought this based on the reviews and the fact that it is more compact than other more common and much better avocado tools. It's so short that when you cut it, the blade becomes part of the handle. When I first used it, I grabbed that end and tried to (uncomfortably) hold it and I heard a pop. Of course, the outer edge was broken. I don't know if it was already broken or if it broke due to reasonable pressure I put on it to keep it. The stone remover (removal of holes) does not work either…
