Now I regularly make (GOOD) popcorn with little to no oil. They are so easy to use, although I messed them up a few times, once I get the hang of them they are amazing. After reading all of these other reviews I approached my first use with some trepidation. But it worked fine! I really, really wanted it to be as big as its potential. It seemed like the perfect solution to our popcorn situation because it was quick, easy, and portioned. However, due to its design or the material it is made of or something like that, it doesn't seem able to do its sole job. Suggestions: Use oven mitts to remove from the microwave, it will get hot! Use a bowl or something that can be microwaved with a light weight to prevent runaway. Serve in a separate bowl. Seems like a good idea, but the first popping seeds rip off the shutters, and then popping and non-popping seeds pop all over the microwave. Updated again: I have a red one at home and I brought a dark gray container to work but I can't use it in the microwave at work because for out for some reason it causes an electrical storm in the microwave - like I put metal in the microwave, but I didn't. At first I blamed the "Popcorn" setting and thought the microwave was at fault, but now I can't use it on any setting to prevent this.
