Hope For The Right Instructions

Thankfully, I've assembled bikes before so I had a clue about it, but if you haven't, things might go sideways. I received instructions for a junior pedal bike with basket instead of a balance bike. Second issue, the break pull doesn't adjust at the grip well enough that a 5 year old can actually grip the break the correct way. Third issue, the handlebars ALWAYS sound like they are grinding when you turn, like it wasn't finished in the tube.

Pros
  • Excellent
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children who have already learned how to ride a bike with pedals

Good size for 4 year old

My daughter is nearly 5 years old and has already transitioned to a 14 inch pedal bike and rides that just fine without training wheels. We bought this bike just because the pedal bike was proving to be unsafe for her to ride on the sidewalk during long walks (she would get worried that she would fall into the road, which made her balance get worse and actually cause her to fall) plus the pedals allowed her to go much too fast and she would zoom off ahead of me too far.The box the bike came in…

Pros
  • Sports
Cons
  • May not be effective for children who are already advanced in their balance and coordination skills

Anyone can assemble this balance bike! Wa hoo (that Was my biggest worry)—but we had the bike assembled and moving all within 30 min!The Instructions were so easy to follow, they provided all of the necessary tools and had a cute little sticker book that came with it. The bike is a true baby blue color, the rubber hand grips are solid and there are safety lights and a bike bell that also come with the bike!We have had the bike for 2 weeks now; still works great! It is light weight but still…

Pros
  • Fairly easy to assemble for a non mechanical person. Looks like a real bike as ppposed to a toy.
Cons
  • Brakes aren’t good and assembly isn’t as easy as some bikes I’ve bought.

Ditch the training wheels

We bought this for my daughter because we were having trouble ditching the training wheels. After less than 1 week on this balance bike she is riding a peddle bike on her own. It’s amazing! The bike shipped quickly, was easy to assemble, and is good quality for the price point.

Pros
  • SIMPLITY AND SAFETY - Along with providing the best balance bike, we ensure that each bike is crafted with your child's safety in mind. Front Cliper hand brake provides excellent stop power while sliding. The aluminum quick release seat clamps allows for No Tool saddle height adjustments. Installed with Pneumatic tires trail over rocky and bumpy terrain. A U-shaped footrest wrapped on both sides, allowing kids to relax their foot while on a bike ride.
Cons
  • May require additional safety gear, such as a helmet and knee or elbow pads

High quality --great customer service

I bought this bike for my 5 year old granddaughter. Her dad assembled it and commented to me that the bike was very high quality and that he is very pleased with it. There was a rip on bottom of the bike seat where it was attached and we reached out to customer service to get a replacement seat. Customer service solved the problem by shipping us a new bike AND getting it to us before Christmas. Unbelievable. You can count on this company to stand by you. And the price was perfect.

Pros
  • Cycling
Cons
  • May be considered too expensive for some families

Decent bike for the price

Seems to be an OK bike for our 6 year old. He can’t get the hang of training wheels so we’re trying this out. The bike came with instructions for a bike with pedals, even though this bike doesn’t have them. The instructions also referred to a different style fork assembly than what we had, so it was a little frustrating that the instructions didn’t match the product. When the handlebars are turned there is a slight grinding sound which hasn’t been an issue but to me is an indication that the…

Pros
  • FUN AND FREE RIDING - Our balance bikes are designed to focus on a simple goal: learning and training balance. Through this way, your children will also learn coordination and confidence with this no pedal bike. Our push bikes are a safe, fun and faster way for kids to learn how to ride a bicycle.
Cons
  • May not be as comfortable for longer rides or extended periods of use

No handbrake good for me

Purchased 14in with handbrake. We specifically purchased this one for the handbrake as it’s more expensive than other 14in balance bikes.

Pros
  • Lightweight and portable
Cons
  • May not be as stable for children who are transitioning into riding on two wheels

Solid, fun balance bike

Purchased 2 months ago. I take my kid to a long ramp by our house and he has a lot of fun riding down. Started low on the ramp and gradually moved up higher. Just bought a pedal bike from the same company. Would be 5 stars but it didn't come with the right assembly kit (instruction manual and reflectors), so the reflectors didn't fit and assembly took some trial and error.

Pros
  • Encourages social interaction with other children
Cons
  • May suffer from poor balance or instability in certain conditions or environments

Good sturdy balance bike that's probably over built

It's a good little bike, good bearings and rides smooth. Sturdy enough for me to ride it! My daughter loves it and has caught on quickly.I am an engineer so take my assembly information with perspective. It's straightforward and all tools are included. It took some time and many adjustments were definitely required. That being said it is not difficult, just more time consuming than I anticipated.

Pros
  • Encourages independence and self-confidence
Cons
  • May be more difficult for some children to transport due to the lack of pedals

Poor assembly - my new review

The ball bearing trace on the handlebar column was full of grit with no grease. Ball bearings fell out when the column was opened. Thankfully my husband knew how to open and clear out the grit and grease with bearing grease.

Pros
  • Builds leg muscles and strengthens overall well-being
Cons
  • May not be available in certain regions or markets

Best Investment! - my new review

Love this bike. My son is on the older side he learned so quickly. Brakes had to be adjusted and didn't work like I would like. After a few adjustments it was perfect. Wish there were more color options.

Pros
  • Easy to transport in a car or bike carrier
Cons
  • May not be an ideal choice for families with limited storage space

Great price, great bike.

Excellent balance bike for older kids. Used by both my 6 year old twins. We bought the black and yellow. It does have a hand break as pictured. The bell seems to be a big hit! The only awkward piece is that the hand break is on the opposite side, so initially my husband put the handle bars on backwards. Other than that, it’s a great bike for the price and very sturdy.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble and maintain
Cons
  • May not be an ideal choice for children who are looking to participate in more advanced cycling activities

Taking the fear out of balancing.

My son was a riding master with his 12 inch bike with training wheels, but he wouldn’t ride without the training wheels. He is high functioning autistic and has developed a fear of falling. As he got older he needed a bigger bike. He still hasn’t mastered balancing and has hated the new bigger bike because it is heavy. He cries if he has to get on it. Since he has been reluctant to learn to ride since, I switched to a balance bike after reading the reviews. He will actually get on this one and…

Pros
  • Teaches concentration and focus
Cons
  • May not come with a warranty or guarantee

Excellent balance bike!

My 7 year old (around 48 inches tall) didn’t like riding a bike with training wheels but really enjoys the balance bike. She got the hang of it very quickly and can now balance and glide. I’m so glad there’s an affordable balance bike option for older kiddos. My only negative comment is they need to improve the break - it doesn’t really work well. I didn’t deduct any stars because it didn’t take away from learning to balance on two wheels.

Pros
  • Creates a sense of achievement and accomplishment
Cons
  • May require additional safety precautions or training for children who are new to biking

ideal for 4 year old

Bought this for our 4 year old grandson. He enjoys it a lot. He had difficulty with a pedal bikes, he was applying the pedal brakes. This bike worked out better for him.

Pros
  • Made from high-quality materials
Cons
  • May not provide enough stability for children who are still developing their balance skills

Perfect bike, confusing brakes

This bike is great. The kids love it and have been riding them since we got them in the fall. It was relatively easy to assemble except one bit. The only thing I can say against this product is the brakes. They are terribly confusing. Maybe it’s just me and all bicycle brakes would be the same for me.

Pros
  • Can be used both indoors and outdoors
Cons
  • May not be as portable as other bike options due to its lack of folding capabilities

Wish I’d purchased sooner!

I have been fighting with my five and half year old for two years to ride his bike with training wheels. It would always end with him frustrated and in tears and the bike being put up to collect dust. We’ve had this balance bike for almost two weeks and he’s rode it every day and loves it. He has already made so much progress with balance and steering! My son is a big for his age, he’s nearly 4 feet and weighs 75+lbs. The bike holds him very well and there’s still more bike to grow with him. My…

Pros
  • Provides a way for kids to explore their neighborhood
Cons
  • May not provide enough shock absorption or cushioning for rough rides

Not what I expected

So we don’t have the space for our daughter to learn how to ride. She’s turning 8 and was a little embarrassed that she doesn’t know how to ride yet, so she asked me to teach her this summer. I researched a lot of balance bikes for older kids, and this is one of the few that actually comes with a brake. This is important for us, as we have a trail a mile up the road for bikes and hiking. This trail has a downhill section though, so a brake was REALLY important in determining which bike to…

Pros
  • Ideal for boys and girls
Cons
  • May not be as durable as more premium-level balance bikes on the market

Great purchase! good for me

This was perfect for my little one and has been a huge help for him in the learning process. It is well built and has held up great, even being stored near the ocean

Pros
  • Can be used in a park or playground
Cons
  • May not be suitable for children with certain physical disabilities or limitations

Came with issues best in my review

Bike came with ripped box tons of black sand stuck in all the parts rust in some parts thankfully my husband is very handy he was able to fix everything so besides that my daughter loves this bike we couldn't get her to take her training wheels off her other one this balance bike is so helpful

Pros
  • Develops fine motor skills
Cons
  • May require additional maintenance or upkeep over time
