Great Product: Gas Cap

Do you like the federal law against spilling gasoline, diesel or kerosene when filling containers? Well, I do not know! I've spilled more oil because you can't buy a decent bulk container without "safe" spouts than I've spilled in all the 75 years of my life! This product converts new containers back to "normal" "common sense" containers. This is a spout and vent to allow the liquid to be poured without having to squeeze a pouring device and a vent to allow the liquid to pour freely without the

Perfect seal, no leaks

Perfect seal, no leaks. It's a bit difficult to install a 31/64 drill. I made 4 5 gallon plastic containers, it will take some time to get them down the hole but if you don't you will damage either the vent or the gas bottle. There is actually a smaller diameter tube of about 1/8 inch that you will use to get started. Then close the lid and gently tap with a hammer. All 4 containers don't leak, I recommend them cheaper than buying a spout and vent. Thing is, the spout that came with your…

Make it 2008 again for your gas cartridge!

Bought five packs of yellow plastic air vents. They are very similar to the originals I had on my pre 2009 gas tank and are essential for proper ventilation. odd size. If you're an HF customer, you already have that size bits in your "combo" set, so I ended up using them for something. Drill the hole in butts so you can get the plastic shavings out before the hole is complete; This way you don't have to worry about rubbish falling into the bin. After the hole is made, line up the vent and hit…

They won't last forever, but they work great

I replaced the state-approved spouts on my gas canisters with working spouts, so I had to install vent caps as well. I use a spout which I rotate through the jars as needed, but of course each jar needs its own vent cap. You have done a great job. Install them properly and they probably won't leak. You can always apply some silicone to be sure. They break eventually, always a small tether so I like to keep spares handy as if it breaks the cap will always be lost and never found again. I usually

Not durable, so not a fan for a long time

Edit 09/23/2020 - Upgraded to 2 stars. Accidentally put 1 star. They have some utility, but you won't know where they work until you get them. Many vessels to be rebuilt have an increased thickness where the vent would have been if allowed at the time of production. This may interfere with (preventing) proper placement of the vent on 2 of my tanks. The little spaghetti strap that keeps the vent cover from moving is not strong and they came loose quickly. Vent caps do not stay closed and are…
