Great product but expensive

I was having these cans auto delivered for months when I was suddenly billed a lot more than I expected. I checked my account and saw that the value almost doubled with no heads up. My reptiles really like them but I'm not willing to pay that much for them. If the price suits you, this is a great product.

  • This is amazing

  • Not the best

Better than always going to the store

I have a bearded vulture, a tarantula, 3 five-lined skinks, a leopard gecko and a few other creatures. I'm tired of making trip after trip to the pet store to buy crickets in bulk only to have most of them die after just a few days. I tried them for a bearded man as he eats most crickets and loves them. I just sprinkle them with calcium and vitamin powder and it goes through them. I still need to get live ones for other animals, but I don't need to buy as many or go to the pet store as often. I

They were a hit with my frogs

I like to have a few cans of these crickets for the holidays when I can't place a bulk order live online and all the pet stores are sold out too. We've all been there, it's not cool like that. It's good to have that particular brand on hand that they liked. All of my large frogs that eat out of my hand have eaten them with no problem. Nobody spits them out. I have fed many different types of frogs and they all liked them, but my large Cuban tree frogs and leopard frogs liked them the most. They

Consistency in size and quality

I ordered 5 cans of these large crickets and had no problems. Sometimes there are some pieces, arms and legs, but basically all crickets are intact. They're dead and fragile, so don't expect too much. The size is constant, mostly as large as in the photo, sometimes medium but never small. Sure, they smell a little, but not as strong as you'd expect from a can of dead crickets. It is stored in the refrigerator for three weeks, it is completely closed without emitting any odor. I feed them…

Smelly but delicious (obviously!)

I have purchased both this product and Can O' Crickets (Large) from Zoo Med not knowing if there is a difference in cricket size or not Cricket is preferable. I have two bearded dragons, a male and a female, who both ate canned crickets (Zoo Med Can O'Crickets are small), but it got to the point where they ate a whole can and $3-4 a can during the day. Revain (the best price by the way) got expensive! So we tried freeze dried large crickets to see if they would eat them and save some money…

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Can be damaged
