Fantastic banks! best in cans

I have bought several of these for emergency gas storage and general use in small cars. I love that I can put them on the shelf and put them in smaller cans to fill the snow blower. At the same time I should be able to put one of these on the generator and just hold the valve open to fill it. They are heavy and it seems they will outlive me. I wouldn't hesitate to buy more if I needed them.

Pros
  • Steel Lab Safety Jars provide reliable dosing at a great price
Cons
  • Not sure

Too bad it's so hard to fill

I just wish there was a better way to fill it. There is no way to temporarily disable the spring on the fill cap, so filling this jar requires using one hand to hold the cap open. Depending on your situation, filling this jar can become a two-person job. I think the idea is that this is a security feature, but I'm not sure if this is the most secure solution. Our Justrite plastic jars allow us to temporarily disable the spring that keeps the lid closed. I'm not sure why we don't have that…

Pros
  • 11-3/4" OD x 16-7/8" tall
Cons
  • String is shorter than other picks

Ideal for farm tractors

Our tractor fuel tank fills from the top of the tractor. This can sits nicely on the bonnet, with a spout in the middle of the filler tube, just push the valve lever on the bottom and the fuel flows perfectly into the tank - you don't even have to try to hold this can, great for our use case. The threads have been wrapped with vinyl tape and we have no leaks. There is a mesh screen in the top filler opening and a mesh screen insert in the valve tube coming out of the can. So you have two…

Pros
  • Self-closing taps ensure uninterrupted fuel supply
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
