🧵 Wooden Sewing Box with Three-Tier Drawers by Juvale (12.5 x 8.25 Inches) Review

Basically ok, not worth it. But I have to use my thimble to open the box. It's poorly polished and I've had splinters on more than one occasion. I would like to send it back but ordered it well before Christmas.

I should have paid more attention to the details of the description as this sewing box was much smaller than we wanted and expected. It's also quite difficult to open and close. The wood is also untreated, so it looks cheap. We wanted a box 3-4 times bigger than this, like the old (and now broken) box we had for at least 10 years. It will likely go in the trash.

First. When I took the sewing box out of the shipping carton, the handle came loose. The screws were not long enough to attach the handle. When I took it apart to paint I found that one corner at the base was not glued. It is solid wood as described in the post. When I sanded it there were no chips or splits. The wood has taken the Danish oil well and looks very nice with a nice wood structure. Knowing what I know I could still buy it and be prepared BUT I would probably hesitate at the current

When shopping online, the question always arises as to what to expect. I chose this box because of the price and the unfinished look knowing I was going to paint it.
