JW Pet Company Activitoys Mirror Review

This is very cute! My parrot Emerdi likes to look at himself in the mirror. This particular mirror is not an actual mirror, but it made a lovely addition to my birdhouse.

It's well done MINUS the fact that it's like a fun homemade mirror. My birdie is obsessed with mirrors and loves himself but doesn't even look in them because the reflection is like a wavy foil and gives a weird wavy reflection. Too bad because they are made of plastic and the assembly is good.

I've been using these in finch cages since my first few years. I love her! Finches love them and will stand in front of them for hours playing with their reflection. Like all other birds, they need stimulation and these toys are perfect for that. I ordered enough for each cage in my aviary and was happy they arrived intact today compared to other reviewers (sorry folks). I ordered 18 and received 6 red, 5 yellow, 4 green and 3 blue.

The product would be worth its money if properly delivered. It arrived in an envelope, yes, in an envelope, not in one of those thick bubble envelopes but in a thin, very flexible envelope. The product of thin plastic and a mirror was of course broken. Having recently returned other items for various reasons, I decided to eat this one. I just sealed it up and let my bird play with it. Me and my birds liked the toy, the problem lies with the SELLER because he didn't wrap the toy at all! Nothing! No plastic bags or bubble wrap! The toy was packaged with other items that I had ordered such as: a cat litter mat, etc. I opened the box and found that one of the mirrors had come off. Also, it's not a real glass mirror, but a shiny cheap thin plate that appears to be aluminum.

I have purchased several different bird mirrors and this one definitely caught my parrot's attention. It received an immediate response and lots and lots of attention. The three view mirror effect/fun house is definitely a big hit and my parrot has been voicing and participating in multiple reflections for a very long time. Definitely his favorite part of his cage, a good size for a parrot/slightly larger bird species and you can't find a price.

I think my cockatiel would love it but it arrived broken. The center mirror was no longer attached and the small clip holding it was broken. The upper center portion of the outer plastic "badger" was broken into three pieces. It all turned out to be packaged like this, in a bubble-lined manila envelope. I cannot return or exchange this item as it is an additional item. I will no longer buy 'extra' items as there is no way to return or exchange them if they arrive broken.

My parrots were skeptical at first but after a few days they liked it. They seem to focus their attention on the least distorted primary mirror, but they play with the other two as well. They still prefer their other, regular mirrors, but I'd say it was still worth buying. Also, they haven't destroyed it yet, which is always a plus with my two boys.
