🍽️ GE JX81J Microwave Recirculating Charcoal Filter - WB02X11124, WB06X10823 (2-Pack) Review

Not as thick as the OEM filter it replaces but much cheaper for two of them than one OEM. The filter he replaced didn't seem too dirty, although the indicator on the microwave said it was time to replace it. The dimensions corresponded to the original filter, which made installation very easy.

This is the first time I have replaced our microwave filter. When the filter arrived I could clearly see through the packaging that there was some kind of glue or melted plastic residue on the carbon filter. It was really weird and I didn't feel comfortable using it in the microwave because of that, so I sent it back straight away. I will buy another brand to make sure I don't have the same problem.

Warning. My GE microwave manual gave me a product order number. So I found the product number and ordered it. Didn't pay attention to the size. The Revain page accurately reflects the size of this filter. But my microwave needs a filter that's about a third wider - 8.25 inches, not 6 1/8. I don't know if my GE manual is wrong or if this ad is wrong. I was told I need a JX81J filter. Measure before you buy!

This item (with WB02X11124 in the title) is listed as WB02X1124. But that is not true. -1124 has completely different dimensions (3 7/8" x 8 5/8" x 3/8"), while -11124 is shorter (3-7/8" x 6-1/8" x 3/8") . If you have a GE JNM7196SK3SS Ultra Range Microwave that says in the instructions you need a WB02X1124 filter, don't buy this too short filter. Instead, buy a filter with the correct dimensions, e.g. WB02X10956. fits and works well although it is not listed as compatible with the WB02X1124…
