K&N is picky about filters

Perfect for my 2006 VW Passat VR6 All Motion. Looks well done. Supplied with canister sealing ring. Pay attention to the plastic top and bottom of the pleated filter media, some don't have them.

No new seal, difficult to install

Did not come with new filter holder rubber seal. It didn't come up easily, I thought I'd break the plastic latches holding it to the holder. Back to Mann Filters.

Red means it runs faster

Not only is this filter a great price, it's red too! RED! It should mean like High Performance or something, right? Regardless, this neat little piece of inexpensive plastic will definitely be used in my car for all of my future oil changes. Red/10, I would buy again

So I'm not expecting any increase in performance or anything like that. I chose K&N because .

I got this for a 2012 Jetta TDI. Well, it's just a filter, so I'm not expecting any performance boost or anything like that. The reason I chose K&N is because K&N makes high quality products and is fairly well established in the automotive filter market. Also, it is cheaper than the original VW part. That's all. Yes, I recommend this product.
