I recently left my little Coby transistor radio (which I've had for over a decade) out in the rain overnight and indeed it was adios for it. It was the best radio for $5 but after hearing a lot of good things about the Kaito I decided to order it in black to replace the trusty old Coby. I don't know what's so great about this tiny radio other than its size. Am I malfunctioning? My reference was the Degen-DE797, similar to the Degen DE333 (but red with black faceplate) which is similar to this model, the Kaito KA200. ALL models work the same way and ALL have controls in the same locations on each radio. I wouldn't be surprised if Kaito and Degen radios are made in the same factory.
