This bag will NEVER have the space as advertised. With the poor design of the zippered compartment and the location of the laptop compartment, consider yourself lucky if you store more than a day's worth of clothes in this bag. If you only use it as a laptop bag, this can come in handy. But if you plan to use it as carry-on luggage or something for the weekend, look elsewhere. It has the usual "divider" inside to separate the laptop room from the other room but it doesn't fit in as much as my normal one 30 liter backpack Jane . I ordered this bag because it needed to be a bit bigger than the bag I now use as a personal item on the plane. The first thing that struck me was how heavy this bag is. It's definitely durable, but at the cost of weight. The big issue I had with the bag was that the actual dimensions are 7 x 21 x 11 which means 26 liters instead of the suggested 40.
