This softbox doesn't seem designed for the new flat panel displays, in fact it only works if you have a very thick/wide light sheet. I am having installation problems with most of my lamps. But I'm much more concerned that it doesn't diffuse the light very much. I can hardly tell the difference between on and off. You get a little bit of scatter, but it's a lot less than I expected. That's a great idea - my LED turned into a nice soft box and I didn't have to buy any more bulbs but I had a hell of many options. time to put it on. I have a 12 x 12 lantern with barn doors and the opening on the large 12 x 12 lid is completely inflexible and took a long time to fit into the light and the handles on the side. After I received and installed the soft box, I found that it may be too large. I use a Neewer 660 which is a great general purpose flashlight BUT after playing around with it for a while I figured it would work great. I like the big front with a medium sized box. I think the smaller one can cut the light more than I want. I was also concerned that there were small areas on the back that weren't covered, but I don't think that would make a difference. This diffusion soft box is very handy and compact. It is ideal for softening harsh lights and minimizing shadows. The only problem I see is that the hole on the back where the light comes through is relatively large and doesn't fit the light exactly. I bought this kit to use with GVM 480LS LED lights.
