Excellent value for money AC

For the price they are amazing. Decent bass, excellent mids and highs. Reasonable efficiency and performance. Easily fills a small to medium-sized room with very good sound. A very good deal.

Pros
  • ELEGANT DESIGN - The YU Passive's sleek, minimalist design blends well with many decors, and the black and white vinyl finish gives you the option to blend into any aesthetic.
Cons
  • Functionality

Great stereo. When you need bass, add the

I use these speakers as a stereo connected to a record player. The high frequencies are crisp and the mids have good physique. Bass is where it gets "fur". Not bad bass response by any means, it just isn't nearly as good as everything else. Using this with a 2.1 setup is good to go. If you just want a 2.0 setup and ARE a bassist or listen to "bass-heavy" music, look elsewhere.

Pros
  • SMOOTH TREBLE subwoofer - smooth-sounding silk dome tweeters reproduce natural high frequencies so you can listen to passive YU all day without fatigue.
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Great for the price

EDIT: After a few weeks of use and breaking in, I can safely say they definitely punch a lot more than their weight. They easily beat Q Acoustics and competed with the KEF 350 for their money. The KEF's soundstage may be a bit better, but these Kantos have a more balanced sound. I was looking for cheaper passive speakers for my office. These fit the bill: good size, good company, great looks. They don't confuse anyone, but they sound great for their price range: I think they sound better than…

Pros
  • RICH LF - Highly durable Kevlar woofers and a tuned bass port reproduce tight bass with low distortion so you can feel every beat and the music.
Cons
  • Legacy Model
