A small adjustment and everything works like clockwork

I am very happy with this product except for one thing. When I tried to inflate it, the material came off and my mouth was full of blue fluff. No matter how I put it, I had an uncomfortable blue fuzz in my mouth. My solution was to put tape around the inflation valve so my lips were pressed against the tape and not the fabric. It worked like a charm! The product is very effective in keeping my dog from licking his lips at night. He also refuses to wear. I think it acts like a little pillow for…

Worked for us!: Medical products

I read negative reviews but decided to take a chance. My labrador is a very frightened dog who has undergone complex tail surgery. I figured it would be easier for them to navigate with this than a hard plastic cone. I put it on the day before the operation to get her used to it, but she was afraid of it. However, I left it on for at least an hour and she seemed to settle down a bit. It wasn't that easy to inflate, but it held air for 5 days before needing more. I also think that she is more…

It's MUCH better than a plastic cone!

I have a french bulldog that had leg surgery so he needed a cone. The problem with the cone, especially for unmuzzled dogs, is that they cannot eat or drink with a regular plastic cone. And skittles are uncomfortable to sleep in and keep bumping into walls, table legs, etc. with their plastic skittle. This inflatable donut works great. It's soft, conformable (to an extent as 75% of the circumference is fixed once inflated) and acts like a pillow when you sleep. He can easily reach for food and…

Be careful, please read my review!

So I definitely like this as an alternative to cone collars. But I will draw the attention of everyone who thinks about it. When used with a collar in place while your dog is lying down, the collar rests against your dog's neck rather than an inflatable cone that forms a sling-like ring and prevents your dog's neck from laying flat on the cone. He was choking my dog so I recommended not using a split collar. 2 I came home one day as she was left here and I found her cornered with her front paw…

Works perfectly! Recovery Collars and Cones

My small 5kg dog needed surgery to remove a bump behind his ear so we needed something to keep him from combing his stitches, until they heal. It's hard to find a traditional cone her size and I wanted something more comfortable for her. This collar is the perfect solution. She can sleep in it and has full freedom of movement to eat, drink, etc. The collar is wide enough that her foot cannot reach it when she tries to scratch her ear. There are two ways to attach the collar around the collar…

The dog effortlessly took it off his head several times.

This was a completely useless purchase for my 6 month old puppy who had just been neutered. She only had it when she was very calm, and when she was very calm she didn't need a donut collar. Her photos with him were taken on day one (still waiting for the anesthetic to wear off). She took acepromazine for 10 days. For the first 2 days she was either too absentminded or just slept well. She snored wearing a donut collar and my husband said she was uncomfortable. So we took it off her while she…
