🦜 Kaytee Lava Ledge: The Perfect Perch for Small Pets! Review

I have been buying these lava strips for my chinchilla for years. quality when they are very different. I am very dissatisfied with them. The washers are now some sort of plastic instead of metal and the entire eyelet comes out of the box with a very bad smell. Previously, they didn't have an unpleasant "plastic" smell. My chinchilla will be very sad if I can't find the same quality as the old versions.

I bought a pack of lava from a store before and I really liked it! They held up very well for my rats and had no stains on them. It was a bit of a strange smell, but that quickly dissipated. I love this brand. I usually buy it from local pet shops but with Covid being a factor at the moment the old mama and papa stores have closed and it seems like the big stores never stock them. I've read some bad reviews about the lack of durability, but I've bought this brand for my Bennett chinchilla so many times in the past that I took the risk anyway. I'm honestly VERY happy with it!
