I bought this as a replacement because my old one broke down after just over 11 years of use - 18 hours a day, almost every day from early November to early April. It works well to adjust the speed of some additional fans I have installed.

I connected the vacuum to my first one (also from Revain) and blew the resistor so I ordered another brown one because it matched the color scheme of the room. I turned black! The item looks just as good as the brown one, but I didn't want the black one. I ordered brown hence the bad rating.

Doesn't work at all so theoretically I'd give 0 stars. Didn't open or test for a few months after receiving so couldn't return via Revain so I guess I'll have to deal with the seller and will update as things go. It says it's been tested, but when plugged into a tested and properly working outlet, no power came out of the unit when it was turned on.
