Bought another manufacturer's device. It did not work. Poor fit and unreliable action on moving parts. Not wanting to use any other non-OEM unit, I chose this one. Worked great. Will buy again knowing OEM units will fail in the future.

My wife and I watched a few videos on YouTube and after two hours everything is ready. Steep learning curve with few repetitions, but fits and works perfectly. Make sure the key lock is on. Loosening the lower window rail was the key to success. The second door, yes passenger too. 4 year old Camry with three broken door locks. It must have been a bad day in Japan.

This is the second unit ordered. The first was ordered for the passenger side of my 2014 Toyota RAV 4th driver's side, as it was also defective. Did a complete swap in 30 minutes. I have just received and installed this door lock as the one on the drivers side of my Scion XB was faulty. The door lock works great, but was difficult to install. You will need to align the keyhole pin and door knob pin by doing this blindly and working around the piece of rubber left over when removing the window rail. One star deducted because the new latch has a small alignment problem due to the door sticking. Now we have to close the door a little tighter, otherwise it won't close.
