Mid-Rise For Better Ankle Support But More Break-In Time (5- Stars)

I love Keen hiking shoes and boots, and while I generally prefer the low-rise shoes, these mid-rise boots have their place. They support my ankles better than shoes, although they also rub more, especially at first. When you expect to hike rough terrain, these are more protective overall. Like most Keen hiking shoes/boots, they are waterproof, with rugged treads. I love the kinked laces that keep them from untying as easily. The soles are thick, and I feel much taller than I am when I wear them.

Pros
  • These boots feature a waterproof exterior that keeps your feet dry in even the wettest conditions, ensuring maximum comfort and protection
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for those with plantar fasciitis

Rugged, comfortable hiking boot, run small.

I own several Keen boots and shoes, all in a size 7 which is my usual size, but these run about a half size smaller than usual. They still fit well, but don't allow me to wear a thick sock with them. So make sure you size up according to your needs.Otherwise these are another quality boot from Keen - rugged, structured, waterproof, and with plenty of ankle support and toe protection. The footbed is medium to firm, without too much overt molding, which I like. The top is easy to lace up and then…

Pros
  • The boots are lightweight and breathable, ensuring your feet stay comfortable no matter how long you're on the trail
Cons
  • The boots may not be suitable for those who prefer vegan or animal-friendly products

These KEEN Women's Nxis Evo Mid Height Waterproof Fast Packing Hiking Boots are great. My girlfriend says they fit a little tight at first but they have worn down and she says they now fit like a running shoe. They are lightweight but give great ankle support for the sketchy hikes I drag her on. Very happy with these. Worth the price 100%.

Pros
  • 10 x 15 x 6 inches; 2 Pounds
Cons
  • The boots may not keep feet warm enough in extremely cold temperatures

I should have sized up

These shoes are well made and durable. However, I think I should have sized up a half size. After wearing these for about an hour, my big toes were asleep. The rounded toe is a little too round and bulky. My toes feel jammed into the front area of the shoe. Also, these shoes squeak on hard surfaces as I walk. They may be better after a few weeks of breaking them in, but for now, they are just not comfortable enough to use for hiking or work.I gave four stars because they are very well-made shoes.

Pros
  • The comfortable, supportive design of the KEEN Women's Nxis Evo Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots means you can hike for longer without experiencing any foot fatigue or discomfort
Cons
  • The sizing may run small or large, causing discomfort

Keen = Consistent quality

Lots of people make hiking shoes.but few make them as good as the folks at Keen do. These particular shoes are no exception! Very sturdy, comfortable, and supportive in the spots where you need it the most when hiking (particularly the ankles). These shoes say they are waterproof and while I have not personally tested it yet, I have no doubt they will hold out there too. Another thing I really like is the style of tread on the bottom doesn't just have great grip, but it's easy to get dirt out…

Pros
  • B097CXKPCP
Cons
  • The boots may not be as breathable as some other hiking boots, causing sweaty feet

The BEST Hiking Shoes!

I recently started hiking with my husband and was looking to order a good pair of hiking shoes that weren’t exactly ‘boots’ but not sneakers either.I came acrossed these and they seemed perfect, so I decided to take a chance on them and ohhh my goodness! They are truly AHHHHMAZIIING!I cannot express enough with words how absolutely comfortable these are! They hug your feet in all the right places and you feel like your walking on clouds!I’ve worn these for hours and hours on hikes and my feet…

Pros
  • Outdoor
Cons
  • The waterproofing may not hold up after extended use in wet conditions

Comfy; runs SMALL good for me

These boots are comfortable and well made. They are surprisingly lightweight for such a thick and durable boot. The "olive drab/ birch" is an army green with pink accents, cute and true to the description photos. My daughter loves these boots and finds them very comfortable for her approximately mile and a half walk to and from school. We live in a city that sees frequent rain, and these boots keep her feet warm and dry, and provide good traction. These do run about a half size small; my…

Pros
  • Love this boot!
Cons
  • They can be quite heavy, making them a bit cumbersome to wear on long hikes

Very Comfortable, True to Size

These are very comfortable hiking boots but they were a bit stiff out of the box. They loosened up with a 3 mile walk & now feel great. This boot feels like it has a bit less room in the toe box than many Keen hikers but still good. The heel holds my foot steady & I can lace it up comfortably around my ankle. The boots stay steady on my feet. They have good traction & are not heavy. I have a small bunion on one foot & these boots did feel more tight on that foot but not uncomfortable. I am just…

Pros
  • The KEEN Women's Nxis Evo Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots offer exceptional durability, making them the perfect footwear for extended hiking and outdoor activities
Cons
  • The boots may not be suitable for people with bunions or other foot conditions

Runs extremely small

Boot seems like it would be comfortable if it didn’t run so small. I always wear a 7 medium. These boots are too short and pinch the big toe. ‘I would like to send them back but I’ve tried to break them i so I guess I’m stuck with an expensive pair of boots I can’t wear.

Pros
  • KEEN
Cons
  • They are only available in women's sizes, which may exclude some potential customers

runs small, recommend sizing up a half size

These KEEN NXIS EVO Mid Height boots are well made and will keep your feet well supported and protected during hikes after they are broken in. However, I agree with other reviewers that they run small. I'd recommend sizing up a half size.

Pros
  • June 16, 2021
Cons
  • The boots may not provide enough arch support for those with flat feet or high arches

Comfy and sturdy! good for me

UPDATE:Three months in and I still love these boots. I even backpacked 25 miles with a 28lb pack and they were comfy. However, because of the GoreTex my feet get SO hot and sweaty unless I'm in really cold weather. Sadly, these will have to just be my winter hiking boots.Original review:I've had these boots for a couple weeks and I've put about 50 miles on them - including a very rocky, steep hike up & down Guadalupe Peak in Texas. I love that my narrow ankle and mid-foot feel really locked in,

Pros
  • With their all-weather protection and comfort, these boots are a versatile option that can be worn throughout the year, whatever the weather
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for those who need wide calf boots

Received the wrong size

They are a very nice pair of shoes but I received an 8.5 instead of an 11. I couldn't try them on to tell you the fit. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Hiking & Trekking
Cons
  • The laces may be difficult to tighten or loosen

They look nice and keep my feet dry and warm through snow! My boyfriend is looking a men's edition of this design because it looks much nicer than the traditional chunky hiking boot look.

Pros
  • Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry
Cons
  • They may not be as durable as some other hiking boots on the market

Runs small and forget it if you have a high arch

I always buy the same size in Keens but this didn’t come close to fitting. There was no room to get a foot in with a medium heavy sock.runs small and if you have a high arch there is not enough opening to get yr foot in. Nice looking but disappointing

Pros
  • Hiking Boots
Cons
  • The soles may not be grippy enough on slick or rocky terrain
