THIS IS PLASTIC! But they're ok

I like the concept and it will work for my purpose, but come on Keeney - what's wrong with $7.81 plastic? It's an expensive piece of plastic. I'll leave it as there's no alternative but it's plastic. i hate plastic Oh I said it's PLASTIC! No, it will not work with a compression ring - photos and videos confirm this. I bought compression fittings with a 90 degree outlet so this is not a problem for me.

Pros
  • Hands-Free Operation
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

It's a good idea but more options are needed

Keaney seems to expect people will only use them in new bathrooms because they're sold by the piece and only come in shiny chrome (plastic). . We use them to upgrade a vintage radiator with PEX. In general, I could use taller ones, and existing bathrooms may need different heights as well. I only bought enough for the silver radiators: I would buy more if they were brushed brass. Furniture legs had to be used instead. You can also use a 10 pack.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Not suitable for ferrules.

So this is chrome plated plastic. OK, I don't cry that much. Good enough and it serves a cosmetic purpose. I wanted to test the fit with loose parts before I ever burned myself on something. The hose fits snugly and the valve closes the top fairly well. Wait, I'm using a crimp connection. I add a crush ring and the ring is in no way obscured by the sleeve. This will leave the ferrule and part of the tubing visible above the sleeve. It seems to defeat the purpose. If the top of the sleeve had a…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

But looks great. It's 100% PLASTIC

Is it chrome? is it metal Surprise! This is exactly the cosmetic I was looking for, but after carefully reading all the descriptions, it is not written anywhere that it is plastic. I assume the engineering is great and the plastic can look just like polished chrome, but I've also seen a few, many with the chrome on the plastic badly chipped and looking ugly much sooner than at least part of the lifespan of installing hardware. I don't want to rebuild the compression check valve because the…
