Very quick and easy assembly and disassembly. But I doubt it will seriously save anyone from cracking - the core is metal but the part holding the wheel looks like some kind of hard plastic. More like a visual deterrent. Also, get hold of window etching solution and engrave your Vin, both are cheap and effective deterrents.

This item was purchased in early January 2021. It hasn't even been six months. Extremely disappointed. Such a waste of money. It's not like I use my car on a daily basis and need to lock and unlock my device regularly. For days it stayed on my steering wheel in a stuck state. At the beginning it came with a dent that I didn't like (the presentation is zero) but bearable. Now about that. any advice? DO NOT BUY.

Used on my Ford E-450 Class C RV. Works as expected and I particularly like the fact that it's a manageable size. Personally, I think the small size makes it more likely that I'll use it than something larger that I would hide and not use. It appears to be of good solid construction and will deter all but the most determined thief. It's a visible deterrent too, mine is yellow and highly visible, hopefully a potential thief will see it and go to a car that doesn't have it.
