Kegco Standard Kegerator Refrigerator Conversion Review

Downstairs in our house we had an old refrigerator that we used for beer (and other things). Especially in the summer we used up so many bottles. Hauling from storage to landfill became a chore. I ordered this, we got a CO2 bottle from a liquor store and my very handy guy installed it. Now I'm the best girl in the world! Keep lines clean and keep an extra keg chilled in summer.

Disclaimer about this review: I'm new to this; my first time. Turned the fridge into a kegerator. It's easy to install, although badly seated in the barrel and leaking. I had to repot it several times before I could install it well enough that it didn't leak. If there were seals, there would be no problems. Had it installed for a few weeks now, no problems. Definitely recommended, although spacers would also be an advantage here.

The kit itself is of excellent quality and even comes with a drip tray which is important. Trust me. :) The problem is that it arrived with a MISSING part of the shaft. the part that actually goes through the fridge door. IMPORTANT PART view. As a kegerator kit, it's worth nothing without it. I am working with Revain to see how I can resolve the situation and will update my review accordingly. On FIRST VIEW of the rest of the set - high quality. It's just completely unusable.

The content image shown seems a bit misleading. Kit does not include transparent hose with hex connector or metal clips. I returned the original package due to this incompleteness but the replacement was an exact replacement so don't expect a complete package. Everything worked exactly as advertised, I installed it within half an hour and the only complaint has nothing to do with the product. When a cold beer comes out of the fridge and hits the tap at room temperature for the first time, there is a lot of foam. After the first watering, the next few will be fine. First, my husband has long wanted to turn our spare fridge into a kegerator. I finally broke down and got him this set as a Father's Day gift. I bought this for our garage fridge and surprised my husband for his birthday. He was excited. Except for the clamps, all components are of high quality. We had a small gas leak because the plastic hose clamps were inadequate and difficult to tighten. That's easily fixed with a couple of metal hose clamps from the hardware store, but that's the only reason I'm deducting a star.
