The quality is normal - the wood looks nice, but the fittings are plastic and look quite cheap. The box is also quite small. The hanging area is more suitable for bracelets than necklaces. I think it would make a nice gift for a child, but for an adult it just didn't seem like the right box to hold/display the prettier jewelry I wanted. I returned it.

Ironically, a few years ago when I was little, my mother had a very similar, if not the same, jewelry box. She gave it to me and unfortunately it's outdated and I don't have it anymore. I stumbled across this one so bought 2 and engraved them for both of us to have for her birthday in August! A lot more than I thought. The only concern is the quality of the wood, but other than that it's nice.

She's pretty, not too tall or wide. It fits perfectly on my dressing table without taking up too much space and my jewelry looks beautiful there. Jewelry boxes are a dying commodity - just try to find them in a store near you. My mum needed a replacement and we bought this with crossed fingers that it will work. It turns out it's actually quite nice. Doors, drawers and hinges work as they should with no handling issues. The overall look and feel is pleasant.
