As such, there are no disadvantages, it is convenient to use.

This is my review of a device that I have only used for three days. Let's see. I took the device as a weak replacement for control panels from blackmagick and perfectly understood what I was doing. In general, the device can and should be used. He needs to be understood. For me, using the device seems to be more familiar than the mouse. As if I worked with him before the mouse, although I have been using the mouse from the very beginning of working at the computer, and this is 1995, his leg))…

Pros
  • Compared to a mouse 1. The manipulator does not need to be held in your hand. Personally, this moment is a forest for me, although I have been at the computer since 1995. But someone has tunnel syndromes and discomfort. 2. The device does not need a lot of space on the table, since we do not move the device itself. 3. Pressing the button and at the same time you know for sure that the cursor will not move. This is a real plus. Sometimes you need. 4. Here I would add one more advantage over the mouse - there is no need to track the start point of the cursor if we move the cursor around the start point, but if not for one thing - the sensors do not track slow manipulations of the ball. They "wake up" them. And this is a software bug - more on that below.
Cons
  • 1. The most important point - the device cannot be arranged with the correct lever "from the palm", as is the case with a mouse. It takes effort to move away with gentle movements. Where is it needed? - yes anywhere - rings in Davinci resolve, Points of curves. Playhead shift on the timeline. There are many more examples that can be given. Yes! the device is more convenient than a mouse, if you get used to it, but this moment cannot be bypassed. The balls can be lubricated with human fat, cleaned, whatever, but you will not have a sure leverage when manipulating. Or you will have to pinch your wrist on the edge of the table so that the brush touches the ball more confidently, but it’s still not the same. If the shear force of the ball along the axis was equal to 0, then even in this case there would be a problem. The motor skills of the hand are not as accurate without the proximal fulcrum. 2. Kensinftonworks. You can create several profiles in the program, but the point is that if you want to change the functionality for a key so that it works in all profiles, you will have to change this functionality in all profiles. Functionality cannot be distributed. 3. Very weak device manual. Booklet on default buttons and all. How to care for the device, tips for use - Zero! 4. Technical support only in English. 5. A very important drawback that everyone turns a blind eye to is the dragging / sticking of the left button to operate with actions. On the mouse, I held down the button and I can manipulate the device very accurately. If I hold down the drag button on this trackball with either finger, it will be harder for the rest of my hand to precisely manipulate the pointer. To do this, a crutch was made to the device in the form of the fact that one of the keys can be mapped. Here, I hope, a matter of habit. 6. Hot keys ctrl+cmd+alt+shift to quickly change the speed of the cursor. Does not work. 7. The very sticking of the left button works disgustingly. Random scroll (horizontal rotation of the ball) and we get a sharp detachment of the button. 8. The device does not respond to slow scrolling of the ball

A good and high-quality product, but there are disadvantages.

In general, I am satisfied with the purchase - the design is magnificent, the surprise of friends is guaranteed. If the price doesn't scare you, take it. Pros below: First, a few clarifications: it has four keys, not one. The ones closest to the user act as the right and left mouse buttons, the top ones - media control and image viewing. A large and massive ball in the hole lies freely, it can be removed and washed if necessary. Optical sensors are located along the walls of the well. In…

I'm very happy with the product, it's very satisfying.

I'm right-handed, but suddenly it turned out that the trackball is more convenient for me to use with my left hand. Since the native application refused to be friends with me, I downloaded EitherMouse - with its help I was able to set the mouse "like for a right-hander", and the trackball "like for a left-hander". From what now I endlessly buzz. Some pros: Looks high quality and expensive. It is worth getting used to, and you want to return to the mouse only for games. You don't have to clean…

The best product, from those that I have viewed, I advise everyone!

The trackball does not replace the mouse. The mouse positions the cursor faster and more accurately. Therefore, with the acquisition of a trackball from a mouse, I did not refuse. But thanks to the use of a split keyboard, I was able to place the trackball in the center of the keyboard. Thanks to this, I can at the same time control the mouse and type without changing the position of the wrist: I do not have to move my hand to the mouse and back every time I need to click somewhere. It seems…

Pros
  • — Big ball, very comfortable. Do not buy a trackball with a small ball. - The most convenient vertical scrolling by turning the ball around the vertical axis. At the same time, it softly clicks, imitating a tactile response (which is actually not there, only sound). - The most convenient bidirectional scrolling by the usual rotation of the ball while holding down the key. - Four keys, configurable through the driver. — Reliable, convenient device. - Elegant appearance.
Cons
  • — You have to clean it every day, but it's nothing. - Very bulky. It would be much more convenient for me if he did not have such horse sides. — Wired. Why doesn't any manufacturer produce wireless trackballs?! - The ball is not fixed. It falls out when the device is tilted. - The driver slows down the mouse speed in Windows settings. You have to reconfigure after every reboot. - Terribly overpriced, at least in 2022. - The rag braid of the cord becomes greasy over time, and cannot be cleaned in any way. Don't wash it? - If you twist very sharply, then the sensor goes astray, and the mouse cursor makes a loop. In practice, this does not interfere.

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

I've owned it for several years. The thing is unusual, but interesting. Most of the effect can be obtained if there is not enough space for the mouse. The trackball is much more convenient than the touchpad of laptops! It should be noted that using such a thing is very unusual, therefore - at first it will be much slower than a mouse (but comparable to the touchpad of most laptops). But - much more mobile wrist. But we must take into account that at the same time the hand hangs over the ball…

Pros
  • - Handsomely - Comfortable - You can remap keys in the native application

I like everything, the quality is good, the price is reasonable.

Nothing is perfect, and this trackball is no exception. from the point of view of fatigue of the hand - well, no need to crawl on the table. In terms of convenience - yes, it is convenient. But the speed of work is significantly reduced compared to the mouse. In general, if you need to do something urgently, then I take the mouse. For leisurely work and when the brush gets tired - suitable. The loud sound of pressing the keys is annoying. . : lived for about a year, practically did not use…

Great product, best quality.

I work almost all day at the PC, my wrist began to ache. Also the mouse is out of order (Logitech MX Rev' 2022). I read advice on the Internet, I bought it to try. Liked! I chose a trackball with a large ball in the middle. From Logitech trackballs under the thumb, it seems to me, the hand will get very tired and the cursor positioning accuracy will decrease. Set it up like this: top left button - double wedge top right - right wedge bottom left - left click bottom right - middle click You can

Pros
  • - less arm fatigue -Less desk space needed -more natural movements - nice to spin the ball - looks unusual
Cons
  • - price in 2022 (in the USA - 2700 with home delivery, summer 2022) -need to be cleaned at least once every 2 weeks (my hands!)

I bought this a month ago hoping I'll like it. I've loved my Kensington Expert trackball mouse for a long time, only it gets dirty easily. I was hoping that this trackball would be self-cleaning due to the hole in the ground underneath the ball. So far so good on that front. However, this trackball had a major flaw that was driving me nuts. Each time I pressed one of the buttons, it "snapped" a little before the microswitch turned on with a normal click. I felt like there was a small piece of…

Improvement on Expert

I've been using Kensington trackballs for 30 years, since ADB. Kensington manufactures the heaviest ball required for fast mouse rotation and movement. Like many others I was a little dismayed at the general drop in quality and fluidity over the years but they are still the best I could find. My last two Expert trackballs weren't working properly. One had a sticky scroll ring (even after it was cleaned and lubricated with graphite) and the other had electrical issues that caused items to "drop"

Pros
  • Input Devices
Cons
  • Expensive

After using the Kensington Expert Mouse for over a year, I finally tried the Slimblade and found that it had a major problem. At least I keep pressing the Expert Mouse's scroll ring, which causes it to scroll down when I don't want it to, which is pretty annoying at times. I was hoping that the Slimblade would have all the benefits of the Expert Mouse, except for one major issue I had with the Expert Mouse: the damn scroll ring. Unfortunately it isn't. While the Expert Mouse had one major flaw,
