Good quality product, but.

This seems like a really good cable but it won't sync my iPod or iPhone to my Excellon. Maybe that's wrong. But the quality of the cable itself seems very good.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Not all will fit

Good quality but didn't do what it was supposed to.

Good quality but didn't do what it should. My new Kenwood receiver said this cable is needed for proper input from the iPod. That does not work. Without change. money wasted.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • boring packaging

It would be nice if it worked.

I don't know if it's me or the product, but I can't get this thing to work. Maybe I haven't read the documentation enough, but no matter what I do, this thing won't work. I connect my iPhone 4 to my Kenwood dual din head unit and while it says it's running, shows track info, lets me select playlists and everything, it WILL NOT play any audio. Very frustrating.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Secret

Misconception - Doesn't work

Kenwood DNX570HD - According to the Kenwood compatibility app, this cable works with the 6th generation iPod Nano. It is not. As with the KCA-IP101, you can see and control your iPod on the screen, but there is no sound. You also need to connect the AUX cable from your iPod to the device. I tried both IP101 and IP102 and both were the same. I bought an IP202 and the folks at Best Buy are going to try it and see if it works. The wording regarding using 101/102 vs 201/202 sounds like you only…

Not right. fit for installation amp

was damaged so i bought this cable for my boys kenwood touchscreen radio. Whenever he came, we immediately checked it on his radio - they plugged his iPhone 4 into the entrance. When we plugged it in, it didn't work. I was angry. Instead of sending it back - I tried it on my Pioneer radio and what do you know? This worked for my PIONEER radio and it's a KENWOOD cable?. What? Also, I gave this item 3 stars because it worked like a Pioneer radio overall; Although I bought it for Kenwood Radio…

My cable was broken. Also not necessary.

Bought for use with my Kenwood DNX690 and iPhone4S. When I connected my iPhone to it, the phone quickly connected and disconnected. After disconnecting and reconnecting, the phone didn't see the radio at all until it restarted. Then it just looped fast again. My cable was obviously defective and was returned for a refund. I can't say if that's normal or just unlucky. Before buying another I found that contrary to the manual for my DNX690 you don't need this cable. The standard Apple iPhone USB…

Pros
  • Heavy duty
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Sorry, the audio playback problem from your iPod through the Kenwood DDX371 is not related to PURCHASING THIS CABLE. It's more about knowing how to set up your Kenwood device. I can definitely play audio from my iPod with a regular iPod cable connected to a Kenwood DDX371. It just requires a simple setup: 1. Put the device in Standby mode (Menu -> Standby)2. Go to "Settings" -> "Input" and select "AV1" (or "AV2", whichever is available to you) instead of the "iPod" setting.3. Go to 'All…
