The device looks well built and has many features, it has so many features and they are not well documented that it is very difficult to get the best performance from the device. For example, the "Save Current Conditions" button seems like a great idea, except I can't find any information on how to get that information. It's easy these days to create a few tutorial videos on how to work with complex menus. Come to the kestrel plate!

Very nice counter. The anemometer is very sensitive and shows less than 1 km/h. I really like the user customizable screens and all readings seem accurate compared to other good gauges. The only complaint I have is that it only comes with a quick start guide and there are no other instructions anywhere. I'm still trying to figure out how to use the crosswind feature and what some of the settings are. Hence 4 stars instead of 5. If only they had given detailed instructions or put them online.

It's useful in the field for search and rescue operations and when we need to call rescue helicopters.
