I bought this product online to save the high price that garages would charge me. I used the online instructions specific to my car and in 3 minutes I programmed the second fob to replace the lost one. I saved about $200 by doing it myself (product cost and shop maintenance fee). Highly recommended! I'm incredibly glad I tried this approach first! Worked great for me!

Cracked housing on my original Cadillac key fob. The idea was to put the circuit board from the original fob in the new fob so I wouldn't have to pay for reprogramming. This is a third party product, not a Cadillac original. To circumvent the patent, the size is just so different that the original circuit board won't work. I'm sure everything will be fine if you're willing to pay the price for reprogramming.

I'm checking YouTube for instructions. None of them seem to be related to my car with start button. I look at the manual and follow the instructions. The DIC will light up and say Enter FOB 3 (i.e. the third FOB for this car). According to the manual nothing happened after that. After about two minutes, I removed the key fob and as a final step in manual mode, double-clicked the unlock button. I was surprised. It works out! No 10 mins. count down. This was done very quickly.

Key fob works great easy to program saved me a lot of money compared to the OEM but the hand key part didn't work. Ace, Home Depot and Lowe's were unable to duplicate the key from the original. Went to a local locksmith who said he could. Before cutting, she said she wanted to measure it first as it was aftermarket and there was a 3mm difference in width. I was able to register this as key fob #3 for my 2007 Cadillac STS-V. My year uses an old style round key fob and was worried it wouldn't work. I followed the programming guide and luckily it worked. He locks/unlocks the door and pushes the truck out. As it is registered as #3, the remote start function will not work as only keyfobs #1 and #2 can activate it. First let me say that it works well enough for me, but it's poor quality and you get what you pay for here. I use this with my 2012 CTS Wagon. The key that comes with it is junk. It's the wrong billet and soft aluminum. Since I use it as a second key, I simply had a standard door key cut out and put it on the ring. Lock and unlock work perfectly. The car starts fine.
