Keyless 2004 2006 2007 2009 2006 2008 HYQ12BBT Review

This worked great on my 2004 Lexus RX 330. I took a premium hardware key and they programmed and cut it for $50. I called Lexus and they wanted to charge me over $300.

The key was programmed onto the car with no problems until I was able to program it onto the Lexus Rx400h and Gx470. Note. I didn't buy for Gx470 so the wireless part is not programmed but the immobilizer part is programmed ok.

Both keys are broken off, the control part of the key is broken off from the underside of the key in the ignition lock. In this case you cannot start the car. I had to order another set of keys hoping they would last longer than the first set.

Doesn't work on RX350 from 2008, wrong chip version 68 and Lexus security chip version 67. Car won't start. Can't return it because the key is already cut off, only suitable for opening the door. Don't waste your money, look for the version 67 security chip instead.

I ordered this key for my Lexus RX 330. I got the key from a jeweler, but all attempts to program it in several companies were unsuccessful. The report I received from these companies was that I was sold the wrong key. Please, any future buyer should stay away from buying this key. It does not work and cannot be programmed. That's a waste of money!

I bought this pair as a spare after losing both of my remote control keys. I called an independent auto mechanic (B&B Locksmith in the San Francisco Bay Area - they are great) and they cut and programmed the keys with no problem. Other than the missing logo, I don't see any difference between these keys and the retailer keys that cost ten times as much.

Bought for my 2005 Lexus RX330. A local locksmith laser cut the key for $25. I followed the guide to program the remote and it works great. However, the instructions for programming the transponder chip did not work. I had to buy a toyota smart key on ebay for $20 to program the chip. I made myself a master key for only $70 compared to the cheapest price I got from a locksmith of $146. A ton saved.

I've tried every method I could find online to program this unit myself but none of them worked on our 2009. I had the key cut by a local locksmith and it will unlock the car and turn it on (won't start) but neither the transponder nor the keyless entry programming instructions work with the electronics in the purchased unit.
