As in the other review, I had a pro cut and programmed the buttons but he couldn't program the buttons to work. The keys open and start the car, but the remote control function does not work. I am a little confused.

We bought a 2016 Rav4 but the dealer only had 1 key. I got this and programming service. All in all I spent $245. A guy came to our house in a truck and cut and programmed the keys. Relatively pain free. You should keep an eye on your email for the programmer who may have questions.

Do not buy for RAV4 Toyota. The dealer could program it to start the engine. But the owner of the keys can't use the key to lock and unlock the car, which is basically the whole point. Good thing it's just a spare key for my sister-in-law's kids - all they need is a key to at least start the car and lock and unlock it manually. You can also pay extra money to buy it from a merchant.

Only 1 of the 2 keys sent to me worked. I did not check the item before going to the locksmith. Good thing the locksmith didn't charge me when I tried to program it. One of the buttons is stuck at the bottom and is not even pressed. Waited about an hour for a locksmith to program it and got nothing from him. Make sure you test the buttons before you start programming.

Great price for 2 keys. Local facilities charged at least $130 for a new key. I programmed and cut the key from a local locksmith for $80 and also got a second key for free (I think that's pretty common practice). You can't program this button yourself, so don't waste your time. The FCID code printed on the key I received didn't match the code on my original key, but it still worked great for cutting and programming. The car starts and all the buttons on the key fob work.

Don't waste your money... I followed all the instructions and made sure it works with my VIN... it works on 1/2 it can start my truck but the buttons won't unlock the truck ... We tried different types of programming at the dealer but they couldn't get it to work. You'd better buy a genuine Toyota key from the online store. I bought a Toyota key and it works great. This company doesn't call or call back… Poor customer service.

I took these keys to batteries + bulbs to be cut and programmed. The technician looked at the keys and said they looked like good quality keys, but said he couldn't guarantee they would work. I asked him to try it and I will pay $80. I asked Ace Hardware and Home Depot to shorten the keys but they refused. Ace said I should buy her key for $198. After 15 minutes both keys were working great and since he was able to program both keys at the same time I was only charged 1 key at $80 plus tax.
