This product has saved me a lot of money. I gave the dealer the key to have it cut for $10 and the car dealer programmed it for free.

Great for my 2014 Chevy Silverado. You need to make sure you have room to cut the key. In most cases, you can only cut it at a locksmith or car dealership.

Used for 2016 Sonic. Thanks for the Cruz review, thought I'd try this for my Sonic. It worked great and now instead of a bulky keychain I have a small key to take with me when I run. I just took it to the locksmith to have it sawn and followed the instructions in the reviews. Thank you for your feedback and comments about the programs!

Perfect fit for my Cruze 12's spare ignition key. After having it cut at a local locksmith it programmed itself with no problem. Call for the best price to have them cut, a few places wanted $60 just to cut the key even though I had the original but I found a good place that does it for $25 so shop around and avoid the dealer unless you are rich .

Buy this and save over $100 by avoiding the retailers! The Chevy dealer wanted $170 to make and program a replacement key (how difficult!). Instead I bought this blank key for $9.93, the locksmith duplicated my $45 original, and a google search for "keyfobprogram" gave me a 5 second procedure to get my car to find the new key to accept. Saved $115 for not listening to a super friendly (ugh) Chevrolet dealer!

Very cheap replacement key. I was able to easily program it on my Volt after watching some tutorials on YouTube for this key to be used to start the car. I had to trim it, which cost me $25 (some places charge up to $100 so look carefully) to make it work in the door. I use it as a spare key when swimming and don't want to risk the fob in the water. I still wrap it in plastic as water can damage it, but this wrench is thinner and fits my suit better.

This key worked great on my 2014 Equinox. I wanted it as a spare key to hide on the outside of the car in case the key fob or lock is lost. Bought three for my 2015 Silverado. I programmed and CNC machined the key markers myself and all three work perfectly. Once the key is cut, you'll need to program your car's computer to accept the new RFID chip embedded in the black plastic.
