Not worth it.: Interior

About a month later the chip in the key fell out and my truck wouldn't start. We spent several hundred dollars to diagnose the problem and when we figured it out we had to pay for a REAL key and its programming. Should never have bought an aftermarket part.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

It's worth it!: Remote starter

Works great. Simply programmed into the car. I have a 2011 Nissan Sentra. I got programming instructions by reading other reviews. Went like clockwork! The dealer will pay you back about $200 for the replacement and programming. For only $22 I got two key fobs and a spare key that I can cut to fit my original key and program everything myself. It's worth it!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Doesn't work - interior

My Nissan dealer coded the $77 key and it remained uncoded. I called MFG and after a long wait I got a message to leave my number and they will call me back within 24 hours. It was the third part of 24 hours and I didn't get a call. So my status at the moment. From the cost of keys and fobs, the cost of cutting the key, and the cost of dealer programming. And it doesn't work.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some errors

That does not work. DO NOT BUY.

You have a 2004 Nissan Titan. I went to the dealer to program the key, they said the key has no chip. That's why he won't program. I tried to program the remote control for the truck. Followed the instructions and the truck did everything the instructions said. However, the remote control didn't work. Tried programming over 10 times with the same results. DO NOT BUY.

The local dealer couldn't program the transponder key

Delivery was fast and I was able to program the FOB in about 15 minutes. Unfortunately the local Nissan dealer couldn't program the key, they just cut it out. The key cut fee for failed programming was $89. However, your mileage may vary. The customer support website was able to direct me to a local locksmith so hopefully they can program the key.
