Vehicle Year Important

GM 2013 and newer require programmers (see Dorman) for RKE (remote controls). But they work and the keys work but should also fit your car following the procedure on how to use the old key. Good quality. works well. I haven't checked the distance yet, but so far I'm very happy.

Pros
  • Excellent General Specifications
Cons
  • Frequency

IT WORKS! To hell with the dealer!

I'm so glad it worked! The dealer charged over $300 for a new key and programming fob. I cut these $10 keys and programmed them along with the remotes in less than 5 minutes. AND YOU HAVE FOUND! I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado and now have 3 working keys and a key fob. So happy!

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good phobes! good for interior

I programmed two key fobs to finally get into the used truck I bought without waking the neighbors while I fumbled, put the key in the ignition and to turn it! I just followed the instructions in the owner's manual (also available online) and it took about 5 minutes. I haven't cut the keys yet. This will be a project one of the coming weekends.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for elderly

YES SIR. THEY WORK! - Anti-theft

This was a solid set. I was very scared, but for such a price I couldn't come by. The programming instructions for each were well written and easy to follow, and I was able to do it myself. I had both keys (after being cut to the original) and both FOBSs were programmed in less than a minute. Chevy charged $160 for FOBS alone and another $58 for their programming. If you need a good backup set, I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Just cut the keys and program yourself. HELL!

Key and fob work well. Instructions for fobs are available online and easy to find on their website. The key programming was given to me by the locksmith and the website didn't show it right away. Insert original key and power on (but don't start), then remove, insert one of the new keys and power on, then power cycle - that's how they're programmed. Repeat for additional keys.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Some small things

Works with reservations

First, the key fob works. However, the included step-by-step DIY instructions are just a card that says "See this website for instructions". When I listed my car model on the website, it said "THIS REMOTE CONTROL/THIS KEY CAN ONLY BE PROGRAMMED WITH SPECIAL EQUIPMENT BY A DEALER OR A QUALIFIED LOCKER", which is not true and annoying. Why are you sending me instructions on a website that doesn't have any? I was able to find instructions on google and it certainly didn't require any special…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Work great! on anti theft

I bought these for a Silverado 07 (new body) that doesn't have the driver information center buttons used in most manuals and programming videos. Instead, I used the odometer knob/button on the gauges. Rotate the knob until you see Program Remote, press the knob and it says "Remote Learning Mode" (or something like that), press "lock" and "unlock" on the new remote at the same time, and that was it. In learning mode, press the remote control buttons on each new remote control that needs to be…

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

THAT'S GREAT! Programmed all four in less than 10 minutes

I bought two remotes and two blank keys for my 2010 Chevy Silverado. Programmed both remotes in about 4 minutes and the locksmith charged $4 for key making. My keys were programmed right away so programming two remotes and two keys itself took less than 10 minutes and that's because I waited longer than necessary as I thought the YouTube video said it should take longer. I can only recommend that. The cheapest retailer costs between $152 and $250. I bought these two keys and keychain and cut…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled
