I bought this for a 2000 Ford Explorer I bought last week. Revane says it fits in my car and I was able to take it to a hardware store to have a key made. I programmed it so easily on the first try even if I only had an original key. Bought this key for my 2008 Sable to replace a broken one. First, it was VERY difficult to cut those places (Ace, Home Depot, Lowe's) that don't cut store bought keys due to possible problems with a key not working or their cutting wheels breaking. This is for my 2007 Lincoln MKX. I made the key at the hardware store. I was able to program the key into the ignition because I had 2 other keys. I was able to program the key fob in the car using the multiple on/off method. The only problem is that the trunk button is not recognized as a valid code for the vehicle.
