Perfect replacement for my 2001 Tundra alarm key which had a .

Perfect replacement for my 2001 Tundra alarm key which had a cracked plastic housing. I noticed in other reviews that the package didn't include a screw but mine did. The screw was black (not chrome like the original) and I almost missed it when I emptied the contents of the bag. The fit was almost perfect. The only adjustment required was to use a small screwdriver to pry the battery's metal contact underneath the clip that holds the battery in place (very easy). Overall I'm happy with it! Of…

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Upgrades

Bought to replace the key fob housing for my 2002 Toyota Tundra. The old business collapsed. Although the key fob manual says to check with my Toyota dealer for additional or replacement remote controls, the dealer said it is not in their online manuals and is not available. Luckily I searched the internet and found this replacement case. The case arrived today and it only took about 5 minutes to swap out the electronics and battery. I tested it (unlock door lock, no alarm) and it works fine…

Pros
  • Sleek design

It feels less durable (feels more brittle, maybe thinner) than my original 2001 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. As some reviewers pointed out, the part of the key fob that the screw goes into…

As written in the description

The piece holding the chain to the original cases that came with my 2002 Tundra broke off about a year ago. Went to a few shops that make aftermarket key fobs and was told the 2002 Toyota Tundra was not listed as keyless entry. So I just accepted opening the door with a key. I saw this case and decided why not? As the description says, this is a case (and chain) only. You must use all other parts from the original key fob, including the small screw that keeps the case closed. The part that is…
