Yes! It was very easy to program for my 1998 Explorer. To program, you get in the car and close the door. Turn the key from the OFF position to the ON position 8 times, leaving the key in the ON position on the 8th time. The door locks are then cycled through. After a lock cycle, press the lock button on each remote you wish to program (even on existing remotes you have been using as it may not work now when programming or "pairing" remotes unless you reprogram them) . The included programming guide works like a charm. PROBLEM: When programming the 2nd remote control, the 1st is explicitly overwritten so that the 1st no longer works.
