Yes! It was very easy to program for my 1998 Explorer. To program, you get in the car and close the door. Turn the key from the OFF position to the ON position 8 times, leaving the key in the ON position on the 8th time. The door locks are then cycled through. After a lock cycle, press the lock button on each remote you wish to program (even on existing remotes you have been using as it may not work now when programming or "pairing" remotes unless you reprogram them) . Lock the door, each remote control should respond to you pressing the lock once. Don't worry if the button doesn't respond, but only once. It works normally after you remove the key. Then turn the key from the ON position to the OFF position. Your keys need to be programmed! These remotes also work at a pretty decent distance. If you hold the remote to your head and press the lock or unlock button, the remote will have more distance due to the amount of water in your head. The same process works with bottled water. Place the remote directly in front of something with water and the water amplifies the signal! Try it!
