Very happy with this

2002 Toyota Camry XLE. To get 2 new keys and program them, it took me $130. I bought 2 of these keys for $20. and a few instructions from the Internet, which I could not program myself. So I had to ask the dealer to program them for me for $50. I don't know how they were different, but they programmed them. I still saved €60. Very happy about that. I've been using one of these for about 3 weeks and it works.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Some little things

**False advertising**

Attention! This is incorrect product information! This is not a chipped key and not what they send you. The picture in the listing shows a solid brass key covered in plastic but as you can see the one they sent me is all plastic with a brass base. Disappointed with what they sent but I don't have the time or the time to send it back. It is what it is. I only need it as a key to open the doors. This blank key fits a 2001 Toyota Camry LE but is not chipped.

  • Good product for the price

The hardest thing is finding a place to cut the key.

Using the online key programming guide we were able to make a duplicate key for our 2002 Toyota Camry. The biggest problem was finding a place to cut the key. All the storefronts and home improvement stores refused to cut it - they wanted us to buy their transponder key for about $80. We ended up having a guy in one place cut it when he shouldn't have, and it worked out just fine. Before purchasing this key you may want to look for a place to carve the piece you have provided - our next one…

Great alternative to the Toyota key.

Bought one of these and had it cut at Lowes. Easy to program. I bought two more which were a bit harder to program but I think I was trying to do the job too quickly. I waited more time between actions and was able to program two more buttons without any problems. Now I have several keys for my Land Cruiser. I bought these thinking they were less likely to break compared to the ones with an inline remote. I also wanted to use the key while boating and was always afraid that the keyless entry…

2002 Solara spare key

I had 1 original. The locksmith wants $127 for 1 spare key. . . This one was delivered, cut and programmed in less than 2 days for less than $11 including cutting. I had to try programming 3 times but it worked the 3rd time and now I have 2 working keys. The key head feels solid and should last a very long time. There is no logo, but what's the difference? The ECM (control computer) for my car is $350 from the junkyard and they usually only have one key for it. A new two-button ECM costs over…
