KFI 100505 Winch Mount - Optimized for Honda Rancher 350/400 Review

Doesn't fit perfectly. I had to do a few mods and settings, but everything worked out. Nothing extreme if you have it on hand. Gather everything together before tightening the hardware. Adjust accordingly. In general, a good manipulator works great.

This is a great winch plate. The kit includes all the necessary parts and raises the winch in the front wheel cavity to protect it from mud and water. Fits fast and is strong as a rock.

Very easy installation. Installed a Champion 3000lb winch and everything went great. The winch is positioned so it doesn't interfere with anything on the ATV. It is installed on my 2006 manual transmission Honda Rancher 4x4. It took about 20 minutes from start to finish to install the panel.

Haven't been able to install yet. But at first glance the goods are of high quality, I was not disappointed when I opened the box. Fair price. I will continue my review after installation. I have mounted and can say this is a very good winch mounting plate compared to other brands. And the assembly method is very strong.

I really wanted to give this item 5 stars because it's well made and fairly easy to install, but unfortunately I've had the same problems as many others with the equipment that comes with it. Literally the first U-bolt I tightened snapped right off with little effort. I'm not even sure I'll trust them to hold up during winching, so I'll be replacing them with quality hardware before I'm done installing them. If KFI replaced the U-bolts with decent stuff they would easily end up with a 5 star…

Very tight fit, which is good, be sure to leave all the nuts and bolts loose until the last one is installed. Then tighten, the thing doesn't move. I decided to install a winch after installing the oven. I found it much easier to leave the winch installation for last. I was able to put the winch on the plate without disassembling the front bumper and easily fitted the four winch bolts. Installation tip: I removed the skid plate, first loosened the screws on the bumper before installing the skid
