You always want to check the FCC code on the back but we had the original key and it was FCC compliant as detailed here. They came in a sealed Kia (OEM) box and we took them to a local locksmith to have them cut and programmed. Works like a charm and we've easily saved $50-$70 since buying it ourselves.
