Best choice for large double bed with orthopedic mattress. It's the tallest I could find and didn't have huge poles to attach it to. Perfect for stopping your little one from rolling out of bed. The gap is also tiny so it doesn't get stuck between her and the mattress.

Although it arrived quickly and appeared to be of good quality, it wasn't the height I need for my bed. I have an extra deep one mattress and it will only stick out about 4" above the top... So I ended up returning it. But for a standard size/thick mattress I find it will fit just fine.

I ordered this because I sleep together and need something big for my big bed. I am very disappointed with the packaging as it was completely open when I received it and it could easily slip out of the box in transit. The rails do not fold into the mattress to make it easier for you to get off, but they do fold for transport or storage. When I first removed the rails from the storage bed, ALL the locking pins just disappeared. I couldn't turn around or move my legs at all. I couldn't tell where the pins had gone. The legs could not turn. So I couldn't just stow the splints away as all the legs were sticking out. Very disappointed with this product. I bought this because my elderly Jack Russell Terrier fell out of bed. I only needed one as he sleeps on one side of the bed every night. I put the pillow in the gap between the headboard and the rail, but it doesn't usually reach all the way to the top or the bottom of the bed. It worked well. It's quite difficult to install myself, at least for a queen size mattress, but I managed. But it's very reliable and he's fallen in it twice and leaned against it a couple of times and it hasn't budged.
