Kidde 21026065 Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm: Voice Warning for Ultimate Safety Review

The alarm worked for two months before it started screaming fire continuously, even though no fire is burning. We turned off the alarm repeatedly, but it didn't stop. The company wanted us to ship it back to Canada. I save shipping costs and buy a working alarm system from the best company.

We bought this sensor for our child's nursery and it is a waste of money. He is less than 6 months old and we have had repeated false fire alarms (which woke our baby up!). There is another brand smoke/carbon monoxide alarm that I bought at the same time and it is down the hall and has NEVER had a problem. Stay away from this detector and buy another brand. Only buy it if you need false alarms and aren't sure if there's actually a fire.

I have a few of these and I like them. They come with a small (quarter to half dollar) mounting bracket and include the screws and anchors needed for installation. Once installed, the device will automatically trigger and go through a smoke and carbon monoxide alert cycle. The only issue I had was that the last unit I ordered from Revain didn't come with the bracket or screws in the manufacturer's blister pack.
