NO INSTRUCTIONS AS STATED IN THE DESCRIPTION SUPPLIED WITH THE PRODUCT

NO INSTRUCTIONS! CANNOT FIND IT FOR THIS PRODUCT ON THE INTERNET. HOW DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG TO LEAVE IT? WHAT IF I TEST WRONG AND GET WRONG READINGS JUST BECAUSE THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS? THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND BOX SAYS THAT THE INSTRUCTIONS SECTION IS INCLUDED INSIDE, BUT IT IS NOT.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Lots of paperwork but worth it

Quite a lot of paperwork to jot down results, serial numbers etc and get it to the right place at the right speed but that was still a lot cheaper than the big box kits, and you can get a lot of very useful data from the testing company about previous results in your area. Despite the extra fees, it's still worth it for New Jersey residents.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

The test kit I received says "TWIN PACK short-term radon test ".

Specifically saying it's BOTH packages, side by side, 3-4 inches apart. There is only 1 (one) package in the package. Just read the instructions completely because now is the right time to do so. If I had read all the instructions upon receipt, I would definitely return the product. I have now passed the 30 day window. Buyers, be careful and make sure you get what you need.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Negative Gift

Good, but. - Household sensors and alarms

It definitely works and costs less than competing models, many of which I suspect are exactly the same (and tested in the same lab). I deduct two stars mainly because it was delivered without instructions and I therefore only realized after completing the test and filling out the laboratory form that I had to write down the time the packaging was opened (= time the test started). The box looks like it has been opened so it could be a customer return which upset them.

Pros
  • Lasting test results
Cons
  • Only available in black

You must use expedited shipping to get results. Totally spent my money

Total waste of money on test and label with over $8 shipping from company website! Even if I had sent this on the day the test was completed, there is no way I would have received the test results. I bought a FedEx label online from this company. It took 11 days for FedEx to put the finished test kit in the box before it was delivered and then 6 days later (18 days after I put the test kit in the FedEx box) this lab's report gave me no results. be identified as they must receive a ready test…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Minor issues

Easy to use but expensive and no shipping

This test is very easy to use. The instructions are good, but the installation instructions in the kit were lousy. I remembered from kits in the past that they had to be a certain distance from vents, windows and outside walls and be 24-6 feet high. I felt this could have been better explained in Kidde's instructions. Put "tray" in the room with the paper side up. Other kits I've used have had to open the cardboard pouch and hang it somehow. I love the tray that just sat on the end of my…
