KidKusion 6010 Hearth Cushion Taupe Review

I purchased these in December 2012 and installed them on my brick fireplace in January 2013. It's 2017 and it's still here, no problems, no tears, never stopped or anything! I cannot praise it enough. He survived 2 children and also prevented possible injuries to our cats and adults! Of course, it became more convenient to sit on the edge. My girls have never messed with it other than checking it once or twice. Very bold and I didn't even notice.

I was very impressed with this fireplace cushion. Even my 5 year old granddaughter said it's nice and soft too. My 2 year old grandkids have touched it and leaned on it and it stays in place but if someone pulls on it it can come loose. The supplied adhesive tape is easy to attach. Simply place the sticky side of the tape on the fairing. Then peel off the blue backing tape (that was the trickiest part) and stick it to the stove. The protective grille is attractive and recommendable.

Installed in 20 minutes, sticks well, pretty sure prevents a few goose eggs! I ordered it for a brick hearth in the house my kids rent. My grandson is 9 months old, he is very mobile. We applied this to the edges of the hearth as soon as we got it. The hardest part was removing the blue liner from the tape. We believe it does exactly what we bought it for. It was a little shorter than we needed to cover the sides, so I'm ordering a second set. I'm sure what's left will come in handy too!

It's a lot softer than some of the other branded pillow strips you find in stores. One thing that worries me more than a little, however, is the double-sided tape that comes with it. Whoever designed this tape for this product must seriously hate humans. It takes forever to peel the blue foil off the tape until it's sticky on both sides. Seriously, I thought there were so many bad tempers trying to remove the stupid blue tape from the duct tape to install this product. Our baby started crawling at 8 months old and we were completely unprepared. I ran to Revane to buy a quick cure for our dangerous hearth! I'm glad I read another review where the author stated that he or she called the company and ended up using tweezers with double sided tape. It was the only way I could get rid of that bruise.
