My son has Down Syndrome and is 2.5 years old. This spoon really helped him with feeding. Now he can eat on his own without much difficulty. The spoon makes him more curious about food and is perfect for small mouths.

I haven't been able to give him the people yet because I'm afraid he might send it down his throat and hurt himself. I wish they made the tips of the utensils out of silicone so it would be softer.

I bought these along with several other toddler items to see what would work best for my child. On the plus side, the mouthpiece is good for little ones. However, the handle is quite large and my son can't get his hand around the handle properly and he has big hands and long fingers. I find they are best suited for children who already know how to use utensils, so 2-3 year olds.
