🖊️ Kikkerland Potted Pen Stand (SC24): The Perfect Desk Organizer for Pens! Review

So you can say it's a fake. big thing. It's damn cute! It's actually a little smaller than I thought it would be, which is actually great. The only thing I don't like is that the pot isn't white, it's more of a cream color. Unimportant. Update: I changed the pen's cup to how I wanted it. picture attached.

This is very nice. If you're thinking of buying floral gel pens with caps on the bottom, you'll need to remove the caps before you can insert them into the 'plant'. For me it wasn't a problem as this is my desk, my pens. I put pretty color gel pens in it and it really brightens up my drab boring office and day. I think it's a little overpriced for what it is.

It definitely looks cool sitting on my desk with the handles sticking out BUT. Keep in mind that the "grass" only goes up to about 1/4 inch. below the edge of the pot, not to the bottom. Coupled with the fact that the top 1/3 or so is curled and offers no support, this means that stems of any size and weight will tip over due to the lack of grass to support them. It's fun as a Tchotsky table, but functionally it's kind of a failure.

I wish I had read the dimensions of this item. I imagined it much more. This thing is very small and can only hold a couple of pens. Not deep enough either. The grass stops almost where you can see it in the picture, so keep that in mind when purchasing this item. Not worth sending back but my husband has to leave 2 favorite pens in and that's it. We haven't tried it long enough to see how well it works, but I'll change my rating if it doesn't even hold 2 pens.

Nice to have a decorative pen tray disguised as a grass cup. I'm good at killing real plants, so I'm a fan of artificial plants that look good. It holds 4 to 6 pens/pencils perfectly (lighter bics take better care than heavy deluxe fountain pens). I can't remember if I thought it was bigger or if I just really liked it and *wish* it was bigger. I saw this pen holder and thought "Oh! How sweet! My flower pens will look great in them!” No. There's barely enough room to insert the grips, even with the caps removed (which, by the way, need to be there to pierce the foam that makes up most of the heat-sealed body). The rest of the pot is filled with a weighted bottom. Pieces of grass are removed from the "frame" and have slightly sharp edges. Basically enough to give you paper cuts.
